Mosquito Hunters Highlights

With headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois, Mosquito Hunters is focused on client satisfaction by providing affordable and effective mosquito control services. But what sets Mosquito Hunters apart from other mosquito control services? Here is a list of the best features of the company:

Client Happiness Promise

Mosquito Hunters promise their clients a mosquito-free summer. They are so serious about their  Client Happiness Promise that if, for any reason, you are unsatisfied within 21 days post-treatment, they offer free re-treatment — no questions asked.

All-Natural Mosquito Treatment Options

Plant-based solutions: If you’re searching for more environmentally-friendly treatments for mosquitoes, Mosquito Hunters has your back. They offer a plant-based mosquito control solution made of a blend of essential oils that mosquitoes hate, such as lemongrass, cinnamon, cedarwood, garlic, rosemary, castor oil, and geraniol.

Mosquito stations: Another non-toxic, green option that Mosquito Hunters offers as a complement to the barrier treatments is the mosquito station. These are mosquito traps that attract mosquitoes by imitating their breeding grounds. Such traps are pet-friendly and do not harm beneficial insects.

No Bureaucracy

If you prefer to avoid bureaucracy, so does Mosquito Hunters. The company doesn’t work with plans or contracts: You hire them to do the service and they schedule a return visit after three weeks. You’ll receive a text or e-mail the day before to which you can reply and cancel, if you choose to do so.

Special Events and Commercial Pest Control

Planning a wedding or party? Mosquito Hunters offers pest control services for special events. Additionally, the company performs commercial pest control services for restaurants, concert venues, golf courses, driving ranges, pools, resorts, hotels, gardens, sporting and wedding venues, and more.

Mosquito Hunters Lowlights

When choosing the right company for you, it is important to note that things are not always rainbows and butterflies. To give you a comprehensive view of the company, here we explain some of the limitations of Mosquito Hunters:

Limited Service Area

Unfortunately, Mosquito Hunters is not available in every state, as they serve only 25 out of the 50 U.S. states.

Doesn’t Work With Contracts

Mosquito Hunters does not work with contracts. This might be a bit of a downer if you are looking for a quarterly plan, a package with a specific number of treatments, or another long-term commitment.

Limited Pests Covered

Mosquito Hunters specializes in exterminating mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas. Although specializing in certain pests may be advantageous, potential customers may prefer to hire a one-stop-shop for all their pest control needs.

No Automated Treatment Options

Although Mosquito Hunters has a good range of mosquito treatments for their customers (sprays, all-natural treatments, and mosquito stations), the company doesn’t work with other modern, automated alternatives such as mosquito misting systems or repellent devices (some of which are automated).

Mosquito Hunters Pricing

Mosquito Hunters’ pricing varies according to the size of the property and the number of treatments you receive. They do not offer free inspections, as agents are able to calculate an accurate quote based on the satellite imagery of your home address. They plan on offering packages next year, with a 5% discount for clients who opt to pay in full.

For homes with half an acre or less, the company is currently offering a first service for $39 to first-time customers. Mosquito Hunters provides recurring visits every 3 weeks, and you can cancel anytime or skip visits as you prefer.

For one-time services in the North Carolina area, the cost is $89 (plus taxes) for a .35 acres property. For a special event, treatment is extra powerful and the price will also depend on the size of the property. For a lot of just over 1/4 acre in Illinois, the cost is $99. Special event services have to be booked about 48 hours before the event.

An important note: One-time services do not include the Client Happiness Guarantee (free retreatment if you are unhappy within 21 days post-visit), which is also not applied after you’ve skipped a recurring service.

The price for one-time treatments for a home with .35 acres is around $89 (plus taxes), which is at the low end of the average cost for season-long mosquito control treatment packages.
